New Century College Spring Alumni Panel

Please join NCC alumni, students, and faculty on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Johnson Center Gold Room on the Fairfax Campus (map) to share your NCC experience with current students and help them to learn how to market their Integrative Studies degree. Discount Tickets for Washington Nationals Game

The Mason Alumni Association has reserved a limited number of tickets for Sunday, May 17, when the Washington Nationals battle the 2008 World Series Champions, the Philadelphia Phillies. Success for Mason Chess, Forensics, and Vocal Studies

For the fourth year, Mason Chess held onto the championship at the 2009 Virginia State Scholastic and Collegiate Chess Tournament. MORE>

 

The Mason Forensics team placed second in the 32nd Annual American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament. MORE>

$10 Million Gift Establishes Center for Consciousness and Transformation

Mason has established the Center for Consciousness and Transformation, a new teaching and research center founded through a $10 million gift from the de Laski Family Foundation to New Century College. MORE>

Business Alliance Plans to Expand Its Partnerships

The Business Alliance of George Mason University has announced plans to expand its programs to include a broad range of colleges and universities in the Washington, D.C., area. MORE>

 


Mason Receives $7 Million Research Contract to Counter IEDs

The Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, a unit of the U.S. Department of Defense, has awarded Mason a contract for research and development to counter improvised explosive devices. The project will be housed in the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering's Center of Excellence in Command, Control, Communications, Computing, and Intelligence. MORE>

Mason Wrestler Named to CAA All-Freshman Team

Named the CAA Championship's Most Outstanding Wrestler, Mason freshman Mendbagana Tovuujav was also recognized for his outstanding rookie season by being named to the CAA All-Freshman Wrestling Team at 174 pounds. MORE>

 


Baseball Ranked in Two National Polls

Mason Baseball  has sparked a great deal of enthusiasm by winning a school record 21 straight home games and being ranked in two national polls for the first time in school history. Pitcher Mike Modica has been honored on an individual level for his performance in the sweep of UNCW by being named CAA Pitcher of the Week. MORE>
