SPP Alumni Chapter Hosts 2009 Signature Event On March 27 from 6:00-8:30 p.m., former congressman Tom Davis will present A House Divided: Challenges Facing the Obama Administration at the School of Public Policy's 2009 Signature Event. Young Alumni Professional Development Workshop This panel discussion on March 12 will focus on maintaining your current job and increasing your ability to move ahead. The panel will consist of staff members from University Career Services, Leadership Education and Development (LEAD), and Mason alumna Janet Sullivan, BA Psychology '01, who specializes in the human resources and payroll field. Mason Alumni Celebrate Homecoming 2009
Alumni began arriving at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 14 to celebrate Homecoming as VIPs (Very Important Patriots). Special alumni activities included a caricature artist (pictured below), an old-fashioned photo booth, and a delicious breakfast hosted by the Mason Alumni Association. Additional block party activities included competitions and a rousing pep rally that kicked off the exciting men's basketball victory.

Survey Respondents Can Win CAA Tournament Passes To help the university evaluate the role a major fundraising campaign might play in its strategic plans, alumni will soon be asked to fill out a brief survey. Respondents will be entered in a drawing for several prizes, including two tournament passes to the CAA men's basketball tournament in Richmond, Virginia, on March 6-9. Watch your inbox for the survey on February 19 and respond for your chance to win! Winners will be notified February 27.

former president of the Soviet Union and Nobel Laureate will speak at

Jorge Haddock Named New SOM Dean Jorge Haddock, currently dean of the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, has been appointed the dean of Mason's School of Management, effective July 1. Haddock will succeed Richard Klimoski. MORE> |

Adjeman-Pamboe Selected in 2nd Round of MLS SuperDraft After a spectacular senior season and a strong showing at the Major League Soccer Player Combine, Mason forward Kwame Adjeman-Pamboe was selected on January 15 by the Colorado Rapids in the second round (28th overall pick) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. He becomes the seventh player in Mason history to be selected in the MLS draft. MORE>
