Your connection to Mason can prove to be invaluable when looking for a job. Join the Career Network to give and to get advice on looking for positions in various professional fields.

The Center for Global Education invites alumni to travel to various points around the globe at a discounted rate. Serving as the premier clearinghouse for global travel and international education, "Mason Abroad" offers a full range of professional services, including short-term, semester/year long, honors study abroad, internationally-themed internships and intensive language programs.

Chat with your supervisor or hiring manager to promote the solid education you received at Mason and encourage them to look to Mason for future employees.

Alumni who are in touch with other alumni are encouraged to host small gatherings. Happy hours and game watch parties are great ways to involve alumni and connect them to Mason. When sending event photos, be sure to include captions with names. Send them to alumni@gmu.edu.

Do you work with or know of a lot of alumni in the workplace? If so, consider working with your Human Resources department to host a "Pocket of Patriots" event. The online alumni directory is an easy, convenient method for updating your home address, e-mail, and work information with your alumni association. Alumni can register for a free lifetime e-mail forwarding alias (yourname@gmualumni.org). The directory also lets you search and find other alumni by name.
The Alumni Association is also connecting alumni on Facebook and LinkedIn.
