Alumni Discounts and Campus Facilities

The George Mason University Alumni Association has partnered with various vendors to provide alumni with great discounts on certain products and services. Mason alumni are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous facilities on each of the campuses. Whether you are interested in saving money or looking to borrow a book from the library, chances are you will find the information here.

Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel

The Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel opened in July 2010 on the Fairfax Campus.  The facility consists of 148 guest rooms, 20,000 square feet of IACC certified meeting space, along with a full-service restaurant and lounge.  Throughout the space you can find photos and information that incorporate both George Mason University and George Mason the man. Alumni can enjoy discounts on corporate meetings, weddings, and other celebrations.

Recent Graduate Membership to Patriot Club

Recent graduates have the chance to join the Patriot Club at discounted rates for up to four years following graduation. Sign up for Young Alumni Patriot Club membership to support the Mason Student-Athlete Scholarship fund and start accumulating Patriot Club priority points toward priority ticket and Patriot Club privileges. You will also enjoy benefits including invitations to special Patriot Club Young Alumni functions, such as pregame hospitality functions for men's basketball games and special happy hours. George Mason University Bookstore

Mason alumni are eligible for a 10 percent discount* on Mason apparel at any campus bookstore. Simply show the George Mason University Alumni Association member card to a cashier to receive the discount. In addition, visit the University Bookstore in person or online for a variety of Mason merchandise, including apparel, gifts, and other spirit items.
*The 10 percent discount may not be used for online purchases.

Mason Recreation, Fairfax Campus

Mason alumni may access the Fairfax campus recreation facilities including the Aquatic & Fitness Center, the Skyline Fitness Center, and the Recreation & Athletic Complex (RAC) at $50/month or $500/year. The annual membership also includes a parking pass. Mason recreation features a 50-meter Olympic pool, 25-yard heated recreational pool, spa, diving well, and 3,500-square-foot fitness gallery, which features cardio equipment, Cybex strength-training equipment, and free weights. Specific programs, like Cross-Fit, Yoga, and Pilates may require additional fees. In order to establish a membership, the prospective member should obtain an official transcript from the Registrar’s office or call Mason Recreation Member Services at (703) 993-3934 for verification.

The Edge

The EDGE is a hands-on experiential learning, team building, and organizational development training provider located on the Prince William Campus.  The EDGE offers thought provoking, fun team development activities and workshops grounded in cutting edge team and organizational learning theory.  Programs are available for schools, corporations, universities and community groups on site or at your location.  Alumni are offered 15% off any program package. Visit edgeatmason.com or call 703-993-4313 for more information.

The Field House

For the first year after graduation, membership with the Field House costs $200 per year. Thereafter, the cost is $400 annually. Friends may join for $500 per year. Located adjacent to Route 123, near the intersection of University Drive, Field House facilities include 110,000 square feet of indoor space with courts for basketball and volleyball, along with a 200–meter six–lane track. Also included in the complex are four handball/racquetball courts, a weight room, locker rooms and saunas.

Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, Prince William Campus

Leisure pool, 50-meter Olympic pool, elevated track, 3,500 square feet of aerobics space, strength and cardiovascular training areas, gymnasium with full basketball court, racquetball courts, 1,500 square feet of meeting facilities, a children's center, sauna, and family/club locker rooms with private showers and changing rooms. A 15% discount is available for Mason alumni either by presenting a coupon or simply informing member services of your alumni status. Campus Libraries

George Mason University Library Passport Program provides circulation privileges via Fenwick Library, the Fairfax Campus Johnson Center, the Arlington Campus Library, and Prince William Campus Library. For Mason alumni, those who give a donation of $50 can receive a library card for one year with a 10-circulating-item limit. Privileges also include intercampus materials delivery and a three-week loan period with one renewal per title.

Potomac Arts Academy

Potomac Arts Academy is a community arts organization that is part of Mason. It offers classes in the arts to community members of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The classes are taught by faculty members and graduate students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, as well as professionals from the community.

Summer Camps at Mason

Alamo Car Rental Discount

Mason alumni can receive up to a 10 percent discount on car rentals from Alamo. Alumni also receive unlimited mileage and a wide selection of quality vehicles including luxury cars, SUVs, and minivans. Book online, call Alamo at (800) 354-2322, or contact your travel agent. King's Dominion Ticket Discounts

Each year, Kings Dominion, Virginia's premiere themed amusement park located 90 minutes south of Washington, D.C., offers seasonal ticket discounts for alumni throughout the summer, in addition to special discount days throughout the season.
