Career Development
The Office of Alumni Affairs and University Career Services share an interest in alumni success and partner to provide career resources to alumni. We also highly recommend tapping into the Alumni Association's LinkedIn Group to leverage your alumni connections.
All alumni are welcome to attend job fairs, career workshops, networking events, and informational sessions hosted by Career Services throughout their career, free of charge. Recent graduates may see their career counselor and/or industry advisor for up to six months after graduation at no cost. After six months, there is a three session limit and an hourly fee. Visit the Career Services website for an events list or call (703) 993-2370.
Mason Career Link
As you work toward your academic and professional goals it is important to network and learn about industries of interest. Mason Career Link is a database of alumni accessible to both students and alumni through HireMason under the networking tab. Users may search for alumni by career, major, company or job title. Alumni offer help with resume critiques, mock interviews, shadowing experiences, informational interviewing, or simply answering questions. Mason Career Link allows you to ask a fellow Patriot about their experience, network, and get advice.
Questions or concerns may be directed to Sarah Hinshaw and University Career Services.
