Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering can be an enriching and rewarding experience. As an alumni volunteer, you can give of yourself how and when you choose. Help with a specific program, serve on a committee, or chair an event. With so many programs and commitment levels available, you'll find just the right opportunity for you. Whether you are interested in volunteering on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, stay informed with the happenings of the Alumni Association by subscribing to the volunteer listserv. By joining, you will receive periodic calls for volunteers for different events throughout the year.
Mason Alumni Ambassadors
The Mason Alumni Ambassadors serve as a volunteer program in the Office of Admissions at George Mason University. The program is designed to engage spirited alumni and parent volunteers in the admissions process by sharing their positive experiences and enthusiastic support of George Mason University through interactions with prospective students and families. Alumni Ambassadors volunteer in a variety of ways including:
- attending college fairs in your area to offer an alumni perspective
- emailing prospective students and parents to answer questions and share stories about your Mason experience
- calling scholarship recipients to congratulate them on their scholarship award
- visiting local high schools to distribute admissions materials
If you have questions about the program or want to get involved, contact Lauren Wagner or call (703) 993-1345.
