There are several events throughout Alumni Weekend to help you reconnect with your friends and show off your alma mater to your family.  Start off the weekend by experiencing the ambiance of The Well, Mason Inn’s bar, on Friday evening, October 1, and network with fellow alumni at the Kick-Off Event Social.

On Saturday October 2, as you return to campus you may be shocked by all the changes, so start off your morning with Tom Calhoun, vice president of facilities, who will present "Building Patriot Pride," the master plan for all the development at Mason. Take a tour of campus on foot or on the Mason Trolley and enjoy a lecture by Robinson Professor James Trefil or stop by the Mason archives showcase and flip through your old year book to see photos from Mason’s past.

The fun continues with the PatriotFest BBQ, where all can reunite.  Enjoy the return of Gunston, who will explain how “green” he’s gotten since his time away from the basketball court, as well as student performances and lots of other festivities.  All registrants for the PatriotFest BBQ will be entered into a drawing for great prizes including tickets for Disney on Ice and Mason basketball tickets. Winners will be announced at the BBQ at 12:30 p.m. Must be present to win.

Stay a little longer and enjoy our newest Alumni Weekend tradition- Step Off, an exciting step show competition. Get ready for a riveting, homecoming demonstration of "old school" and "new school" moves.

Want to know who has already registered? Take a look at the list of registrants, then make a call to any of your Mason friends who are not on the list and ask them to join you in registering today.

Remember to bring your family along as well—there will be something for everyone to enjoy. 

Fall 2010 Begins with New Staff Members in Alumni Affairs

The Alumni Office proudly announces the addition of three new professionals to Mason. 

In mid-July, Fermina Mejia-Green (pictured above, center) joined Alumni Affairs as the office manager. After Labor Day, Melissa Bradby (pictured above, right), BA '04 and MA '08, and Anna Goltz (pictured above, left) also joined the team.

Melissa is associate director and will focus on alumni chapters and affinity groups.  Anna is assistant director and will continue to build student and young alumni engagement as well as coordinate volunteers.
