Following a brief hiatus due to COVID-19, the Mason Open Golf Tournament is back! We have relocated the event from Penderbrook Golf Club to Twin Lakes (Oaks Course) in Clifton, VA.

This year, Mason Recreation plans to send several students and staff to the National Recreational Sports Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, several of our outstanding intramural officials were selected to attend regional and national NIRSA extramural tournaments to represent George Mason University. Attendance at these conferences and tournaments are a great way to help students network with professionals from other schools and develop as student leader. As a result, many students make connections which can lead to graduate assistant positions.

Net proceeds of the Mason Open support the Mason Recreation Staff and Student Development Fund. The fund provides students the ability to pursue professional development opportunities at various conferences, seminars, and courses throughout the country.
