"BUILDING" Patriot Pride an inside look at the over $500M in construction at Mason

Vice President of Facilities Tom Calhoun will present the master plan of the over $500 million in construction happening on the Fairfax, Arlington and Prince William campuses. Enjoy this dynamic presentation which will be followed by a walking tour of campus that will feature docents in the newest state-of-the-art buildings.

Join Dr. Andrew Flagel, Dean of Admissions and Associate VP for Enrollment Development, as he explains the college admission process.  Dr. Flagel is also an author for fastweb.com where you can search for scholarships with our free scholarship matching service, get student financial aid and find money to pay for college.  A special tour given by a current Mason student follows.

Visit Mason's planetarium for a fun and informative guided tour "under the stars."

Observatory tour

Join Professor and Alumnus Dr. Harold Geller, MAIS ’92, Cer.G. ’02, DA ’05, as he leads you on a tour of Mason’s observatory, added in January 2007. There is 16" diameter Dobsonian telescope in the observatory atop the pier and a 12 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope used on the patio that provides good views of the sky. Also included is a 6" refractor originally built by GMU students in 1975.

CHHS nursing students and faculty will provide a demonstration of the state-of-the art SimMan “patients” while attendees witness the simulators life like reactions of breathing, coughing and talking in response to skills being performed by students and faculty.
