| 10:00 am - Noon | Observatory tour Join Professor and Alumnus Dr. Harold Geller, MAIS ’92, Cer.G. ’02, DA ’05, as he leads you on a tour of Mason’s observatory, added in January 2007. There is 16" diameter Dobsonian telescope in the observatory atop the pier and a 12 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope used on the patio that provides good views of the sky. Also included is a 6" refractor originally built by GMU students in 1975. |
