Carter School Pop-Up Shop is Open!

From now until October 23, Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution alumni can visit an online pop-up store to purchase Carter School shirts, hoodies, water bottles, and car magnets. To keep prices down, we are selling directly from the vendor and offering items at cost.

 

Show your Carter School spirit in your home communities, place of work, and anywhere your travels take you! Items are expected to ship two weeks after the store closes.

From Jerusalem to DC, Mason alumna dedicates her life to solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

 

Fakhira Halloun, PhD '19 holds two contradictory identities: She is Palestinian and an Israeli citizen.  

 

It wasn’t until she began facilitating peace dialogues between Israelis and Palestinians in Jerusalem in 2000, that she realized Palestinian citizens of Israel could be the missing link in bridging ties between the two groups.

In the midst of a pandemic that pushed the spring 2020 semester online, George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR) was undertaking the largest change in its 40-year history—becoming the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution.

 

It was a move that put the school’s expertise to the test.
